Privacy Policy

1. Data Collected

The ScanClear platform limits the collection of personal data to the strict minimum necessary to provide, secure, and optimize its website technical analysis services. The data specifically collected and stored are as follows:

  • For a scan launched without an account (anonymous visitor): a browser technical fingerprint (SHA-256 hash generated via ThumbmarkJS technology) as well as the user's IP address. These elements are collected for the sole purpose of enforcing a limit of 3 free scans per day per visitor, in order to prevent abuse.
  • The URL of the scanned site: the web address submitted for analysis is retained in order to generate and render the scan report. This URL may belong to a third party who has never directly visited or used ScanClear — the owner of the analyzed site, and not necessarily the person who initiated the scan.
  • For a created user account: the name, email address, password stored in hashed form, and the history of scans initiated from this account.

2. Retention Period

The browser fingerprint and IP address of anonymous visitors are retained only for the duration necessary to enforce the daily quota, representing a targeted window of 24 to 48 hours. After this period, these identification data are systematically purged, while the scan report itself (scores, check items) remains retained. Account data are retained as long as the account exists.

This intentionally short retention window stems from the very positioning of the product, aligned with CNDP compliance requirements: the tool deliberately retains less personal data than the sites it scans.

3. Legal Basis and CNDP Declaration

The processing is based on the legitimate use of a free tool (enforcement of the anonymous quota) or on the performance of the service contract (account holders), in accordance with Moroccan Law No. 09-08 relating to the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data. 4. Your Rights

You have the right to access, rectify, and delete your personal data. If you are the owner of a site scanned by a third party on this platform without having submitted a request yourself, you also have the right to demand the removal of this specific report.
